The pallet truck scales are a convenient way to save time and shorten work processes. These pallet truck scales can transport and weigh loads up to 2000 kg. For this purpose, four load cells are installed in the forks of the pallet truck scales, which form a weighing system with the evaluation unit.
Pallet trucks with scales are used wherever heavy and bulky loads need to be moved over 
relatively short flat surfaces. Regardless of their drive type, they significantly reduce the physical strain on workers. Heavy parts in warehouses, production and transport halls are often stored on pallets or in mesh boxes and can thus be easily moved to other locations with forklifts and pallet trucks. The fork of the forklift or pallet truck is simply moved under the respective pallet, the mesh box or storage container and then lifted. So no additional equipment or power is needed to load or unload the load. While forklifts are suitable for both floor and shelf storage, pallet trucks are a quick and practical solution for the objects stored on the floor.
For many applications, it is necessary to establish the current weight of the goods being moved and to document this if necessary. The pallet truck with scales can weigh the picked-up load directly when it is lifted for transport. When using the pallet truck scales, the weighing can therefore be carried out during the transport process, saving time and space. The scales are integrated into the pallet truck, require no separate floor space and are ready for immediate use.

In order to ensure that the pallet truck scales can be used in operation without any problems for all intended applications, the most important key data of the pallet truck and scales such as load capacity, weighing range and legal for trade criterion must first be taken into account during the search.
In addition, care must be taken to ensure that the design, dimensions, functionality and operability meet the requirements. If, after checking these criteria, several models remain on the shortlist, then the price-performance ratio, the availability of accessories and spare parts and the repair service should be taken into account when making a decision.

Pallet trucks with scales are available as calibrated or uncalibrated models. If the commercial goods, the price of which depends on the weight, are weighed, or if the verified scales must be used for other reasons, the user is obliged to comply with the specifications of the verification law. If the weight determination takes place depending on the gravity, the scales must be adjusted to the gravity value at the place of installation in accordance with its accuracy class. This is usually noted on the scales and in the associated papers.
The regulations of the verification law also include that the commissioning of the pallet truck scales for the measurements subject to verification must be registered by the operator with the locally competent verification authority. Before expiry of the verification period, the operator must also apply there for the appointment for reverification.
Loading and unloading processes, but also the labelling, storage and distribution of goods 
are considerably simplified and accelerated by the use of the pallet truck scales. Whether in hypermarkets, production plants or warehouses, a single employee can weigh and move heavy and bulky goods without much physical effort. The weight can be read practically immediately after lifting the pallet. Based on the displayed weighing result, it is immediately recognisable, for example, whether the weight of certain parts is too high or too low. The excess parts can be removed or the missing parts can be added even before the pallet is moved. Many models of the pallet trucks with scales have a piece counting function. This function can be used to quickly and easily determine the quantity of the parts present in a box or pallet cage when it goes about the piece goods stored according to type. To do this, of course, the packaging and load carrier weight must first be subtracted via the tare function.
Some pallet truck scales models are equipped with a printer that can immediately print the determined weight and additional information on receipts or labels. If the goods are moved that are to be stored or transported further, each pallet can be marked with the current weight through the printed receipt. As a rule, the weight is printed in text form and as a barcode so that it can be both read and scanned later. In the case of the closed packaging units, the document data can be used to check the stock quantities without weighing again and the information for the weight values can be transferred to the delivery documents.
When combining several packages for deliveries, the loading area and the permissible total weight of the means of transport must often be taken into account. The weight of several pallets or pallet cages can simply be added together using the sum function on the pallet truck with scales. If it is determined that the permissible total weight for the intended means of transport is exceeded, the truck can react immediately. The loading process is thus considerably simplified and accelerated.
