Hydraulic force transducers / force measuring blocks and the load measuring pins are sensors which can be used for the determination of different forces. Depending on whether the transverse forces, compressive forces, rotational forces or tensile forces are to be determined, a wide variety of hydraulic load cells, load blocks and load pins come into application. The hydraulic force transducers are being replaced more and more by digital force transducers. This is due to the digitalization of the various work processes. The hydraulic force transducers are very robust and low-maintenance and can be used in temperature and weather conditions where the digital force transducers cannot keep up. Load blocks are force transducers in a block form.
Load blocks are used in many standard scales that are designed for ruggedness. Load pins are force transducers in a pin shape. These load measuring pins, for example, can be inserted between two mounting pieces, to determine the tensile or compressive force. Some of the load pins can transmit the data wirelessly to an evaluation device. Regardless of whether the load cells are designed as load blocks or load pins, the operating principle is very similar. For each hydraulic force transducer, the appropriate analogue evaluation unit must be used. These analogue evaluation units are flexibly configurable and even make it possible to connect several force transducers.
