Description

Closing force measurement system for bus and train doors and sliding steps
Closing force measuring device / safety through closing force measurement

The original BIA class 1 closing force measuring device is an electronic closing force measuring device for rail vehicle and bus doors. The elaborate design combines precision with practical robustness and ensures accurate measured values even after years of use in harsh environments.

For cyclic measurements on vehicles with multiple doors, a quick and easy implementation is of great importance. For this purpose, software was developed that drastically reduces the measurement process and the effort required for documentation. With just a few operating steps, the measurements for a complete vehicle can be taken over, printed out in tabular form and saved in a database.

We provide suitable interfaces (e.g. Microsoft® DLL or National Instruments® LabVIEW) for integration into an automated test procedure.

Software / App

Description of software / technical requirements
For our measuring devices you need one of our software tools. Our software is used to evaluate the data obtained during closing force measurements. Depending on which measuring device or which evaluation device you have, you can download different software.

- PC/Laptop Windows 7 or higher
- USB serial port or Bluetooth interface
- Measuring device
- for the following measuring devices: Original BIA Class 1, BIA 600, FM 100, FM 200, FM 202,
    FM 205, FM 206, FM 207, FM 208, FM 300

PC software PinchPilot
Our "PinchPilot" software is used to evaluate the data obtained during closing force measurements. No additional software is required for daily work.

Data export
PinchPilot provides all the functions required for routine measurements. Should the data nevertheless be processed further in another room, there are various types of export to choose from:

Text export: measured values as a series of numbers; can be imported e.g. into Microsoft Excel
Image export: log or single diagram in EMF format; can be imported, e.g. into Microsoft Word Measurement data can be exported as ppdx (XML format) and imported with our other software tools for further processing
SQL database: A customer-specific SQL interface can be implemented on request
National Instruments DataPlugin (for import into Diadem or LabView)

Evaluation according to PinchPilot guidelines
The software evaluates the measurement results according to PinchPilot guidelines. These are created on the basis of applicable regulations (laws, standards, guidelines). They consist of a set of parameters that contain the permissible limit values. The measurement results obtained are evaluated accordingly. The permissible range is highlighted in color in the measurement diagram and allows a quick assessment of the measurement. We keep the PinchPilot guidelines up to date. Calibrations by us include an update of the software and thus also of the PinchPilot guidelines. With regular calibration, the user has the security of always checking according to the latest status. In addition to the assessment according to PinchPilot guidelines, the user has the option of creating their own guidelines.

Result documentation
There are two options for documenting measurements in paper form: The measurement log is detailed graphic documentation for a measurement point. While the measurement report is documentation for several measurement points in tabular form. This allows all measurements on an object (door, wagon, etc.) to be documented.
You can set the user language yourself: German, English, French, Italian and Spanish. Software upgrade costs will apply if no license is available for the downloaded version.
