The Rotor-Check 400 Radiation Detector is a practical testing device for checking the magnetic field strength curve of a rotor. The device and the measuring probe are connected directly to a Windows PC via USB. An ideal solution for precise magnetic field measurement and magnetic field analysis.
You can use the Radiation Detector to determine numerous parameters of a magnetic rotor with great accuracy:
- Magnet or magnetization quality
- Errors in the assembly of the laminated core
- Influences due to inhomogeneity of the laminated core
- Position of the laminated core relative to the shaft
- Stray field magnetization
- Local and global pole tips
- Flux density in the pole center
- Pole width
- Pole offset
- Pole comparison
The precise, high-resolution stepper motor rotates the rotor through 360° in seconds. With the free RotorCheck software, you can record an accurate curve of the magnetic field strength and magnetic angle and evaluate it statistically. The measuring probe is placed at a constant distance from the rotor using a height-adjustable fixing device. This is important in order to generate comparable magnetic measurements during rotation and to ensure a precise magnetic field strength across the entire rotor path. The axis of the rotor can be up to 13 mm thick. The height of the measuring probe holder can be adjusted up to 12 cm, which allows for flexible handling for different rotor sizes.
By recording the measured values with the RotorCheck software, you can export the recorded measurement data directly as a graph or as a CSV file, e.g. to Microsoft Excel, in order to evaluate and document the magnetic field measurement in detail.
The Radiation Detector is supplied with a PM4-TR transverse tongue probe. The scope of delivery includes 3 holders for the measuring probe for axial measurement (e.g. sensor magnet) or radial measurement (e.g. magnetic rotor). Adapter sleeves can also be supplied on customer request to enable measurement at specific distances from the magnetic rotor.
The Rotor-Check 400 Radiation Detector and the associated measuring probe are connected to a PC or laptop via two USB ports and do not require any additional external power supply.
