HVAC meter PCE-VE 1500-60500
HVAC meter for visual inspection of hard-to-reach cavities
camera cable 5 m long / only 6 mm camera diameter / frontal camera arrangement
motor-driven 4-way camera head, controllable via joystick / camera cable IP67
The HVAC meter PCE-VE 1500-60500 with the high-resolution camera, the camera diameter of only 6 mm and the five-meter-long camera cable is particularly suitable for inspecting the inside of pipelines, large vessels or machine components. The practical functions for marking and annotating the captured images directly with the touch screen considerably reduce the effort for the subsequent documentation of the found condition.
If the inspection images need to be evaluated directly on site, this can be done quickly and easily with this HVAC meter. The robust design and the high degree of protection IP 67 of the camera cable allow it to be used even under difficult conditions. Camera and camera cable may even be immersed in water, salt water or oil for up to 30 minutes during the inspection.
All HVAC meters of this series can be operated very comfortably by means of function keys, touch screen and joystick. The handle fits so securely and comfortably in the hand that the image trigger, joystick and almost all function keys can also be operated with the same hand. Depending on the space available and accessibility of the examination site, however, a tripod, a magnetic holder or the shoulder strap can also be used to keep the hands free and still have the display in view.
For inspections of safety or function-relevant components of buildings, technical plants, machines or vehicles, this HVAC meter offers extended possibilities for the documentation of visual examinations. Both for quality controls in the manufacturing plant and for regular or unscheduled inspections at the point of use, the extensive marking functions simplify the creation of comprehensible images for inspection reports.
The camera on this HVAC meter is front-facing and has a very wide 120 ° angle of view. The field of view can be illuminated by switching on LEDs. This illumination can be adjusted to the environment in six steps at the touch of a button so that details are clearly visible. The high resolution of the camera, the large angle of view and the focus range of 10 to 100 mm enable meaningful and detailed images.
HVAC meter is well suited for the inspection of longer distances inside narrow pipelines, large turbines, large vessels or extensive cavities in which technical installations are located. The camera head is made of a very resistant titanium alloy, the sheathing of the HVAC meter cable is made of braided tungsten. The cable is connected to the motor unit and via this unit is connected to the evaluation and control unit. The connection to the handheld device can be quickly and securely fixed and released. The very flexible camera head, which can be moved by motor to change the viewing direction, is 60 mm long. For a 90-degree bend to change the viewing direction, the 60 mm long camera head requires a bending radius of 50 mm. To examine other areas of the object under examination, the HVAC meter cable with straight camera head is simply pushed further or pulled back.
The HVAC meter is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen offering an image resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Menu functions can be easily started and ended via the touchscreen using the icons at the edges of the image. To enlarge the current image, it is sufficient to simply tap on it or pull it apart with two fingers.
Via the symbols on the operating keys and the icons on the touchscreen mean, the HVAC meter can be operated without instructions after only a short time, despite many special functions. For example, the current image can be easily rotated ninety degrees at a time by tapping the corresponding icon, making it easier to assign the details of the image content. The picture-in-picture function allows another, already stored image to be called up in addition to the current image. In this way, the currently examined location can be compared directly on the touchscreen with a similar situation elsewhere or with the condition during the previous inspection. To do this, it is possible to select by tapping whether the live image is displayed large as a background or as a section in the saved image.
One of the special functions of this HVAC meter is the report function. Images can be selected for the report and saved as a PDF together with explanatory texts. In addition, each saved image can be provided with predefined or self-created image stamps so that it can be more easily assigned to the correct project and the respective position. Coloured markers, which can be easily drawn on the image with the finger, allow the details to be highlighted quickly.
Images and videos The HVAC meter not only shows live images on the display, it can also save images and videos. Images are stored as JPG and videos in MP4 format. The storage location can be selected between internal memory, USB stick or SD card. Via the markers and image stamps easily inserted into the image via touch screen after saving, the expressiveness of the images can be improved without much effort.
The scope of delivery of the HVAC meter includes two special rechargeable batteries, which can be exchanged very easily. This means that when the first battery is empty, work can be continued immediately with the second battery. If a charging facility is available on site, the battery can also be charged while the HVAC meter is in use. The capacity of a fully charged battery is 6,400 mAh and enables an operating time of more than 3 operating hours.
The PCE-VE 1500-60500 HVAC meter is supplied in a robust wheeled case, which can be tightly closed thanks to a quadruple locking and rubber coating. In addition to the HVAC meter, the case contains two device-specific batteries as standard, the matching power supply and a USB-C cable for charging, an HDMI cable for transferring data, a 64 GB SD memory card and an SD card reader with USB port, as well as a shoulder strap and, of course, the operating instructions.
