The automotive tester PCE-VE 180 is a rechargeable handheld pistol-grip videoscope or video borescope inspection camera with video recording and image capture functionality. Equipped with built-in LED lighting on the waterproof camera tip, the automotive tester features a detachable remote control with integrated 3.5" LCD for easy viewing and navigation. The automotive tester has a measuring range of 0 … 1000 A AC/DC. The current is measured inductively using the clamp on the measuring device. Live supply lines with a diameter of up to 32 mm (1.2") can be connected to the automotive tester.

PCE-SG is an automotive tester or handheld refractometer used to determine the specific gravity (sg) of electrolyte solution batteries as well as the freezing point of propylene or ethylene glycol-based coolants in degrees Celsius (°C). This refractometer works well for measuring cleaning products too. The instrument also gives indication of the charge level in battery acid.

Measurement ranges:
   -50 ... 0 °C for coolant or antifreeze
   1.15 ... 1.30 sg for battery acid
   -40 ... 0 °C for cleaner

 

The Automotive Tester tests 12V and 24V starter batteries. The vehicle battery tester checks the condition of the car battery via the battery voltage in the charging cycle, when starting or when idling.
