In the event of an alarm, an acoustic and visual warning, a voice message and a push notification are sent to the smartphone. In addition, a connected valve can be activated automatically to stop the gas supply. The sensor has a service life of five years and the device requires a warm-up time of 180 seconds after switching on. The detector is supplied with 5V/1 A power via micro USB and consumes less than 200 mA.

The installation of the Gas Detector / Gas Detection Instrument depends on the type of gas used: for natural gas, which is lighter than air, the device is installed about 30 cm below the ceiling, for LPG, which is heavier than air, about 30 cm above the floor.
