Non-destructive material testing by means of an ultrasonic testing device. Whether for quality inspection of the end products, for spot checks in the production process or in incoming inspection – assess the quality of your materials or workpieces using an ultrasonic tester. PCE Instruments offers testing devices for non-destructive material testing for the wall thickness measurement, hardness measurement, examination of weld seams (weld seam testing), detection of cracks and inclusions in workpieces of all kinds or for leak testing or leak detection. All ultrasonic meters operate completely non-destructively. Thus, they do not generate any additional waste during material and workpiece testing by means of ultrasound.

A portable ultrasonic measuring device already covers 90 % of all workpiece inspections for the essential measuring parameters and inspection situations in industry. In addition, there are application-specific options for ultrasonic flaw detection as well as online/inline flaw detection systems for the continuous use in production. PCE-FD 20 is a portable ultrasonic thickness gauges or ultrasonic wall thickness gauges with a large LCD screen that displays A-scan maps of ultrasonic signals as well as B-scan cross sections. Ideal for use in mechanical engineering, aerospace and metallurgical applications, this high-frequency ultrasound-based ultrasonic thickness gauges uses a contact transducer (two different probes included; 45° and 90°) to measure material thickness and identify flaws and defects such as discontinuity in welds.
