The Thickness Meter operates with a small measuring probe and a self-aligning prism. This makes the Thickness Meter particularly suitable for the precise measurement of coatings on wires and round materials. Its compact design makes the device barely larger than a measuring probe, allowing thin coatings to be measured on steel cables or spiral loops, for example.

For reliable measurements even in harsh environments, the handy metal housing has IP64 protection and is therefore protected against splashing water. Operating the Thickness Meter is particularly easy thanks to a single button and an intuitive, multilingual menu.

On iron and steel substrates, the device is ideally suited to testing various coatings. The magnetic induction probe measures coatings made of lacquer, paint, plastic, rubber, ceramic, galvanisation and electroplated materials, excluding nickel, in accordance with ISO 2178.

For further processing and documenting measurement data, the device can be paired with mobile Android and iOS devices as well as a Windows PC. The wireless connection enables flexible data transfer. The internal memory can be divided as required. The free app for Android, iOS and Windows allows projects to be managed and measuring points to be assigned directly to a photograph. Measurement results can also be analysed statistically and displayed graphically.
