The Gas Detector / Gas Detection Instrument is a versatile multiple gas detector for simultaneous monitoring of up to four gases, including combustible gases (Ex), oxygen (O₂), carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S). Thanks to modern electrochemical and catalytic sensors, the Gas Detector / Gas Detection Instrument ensures high measurement accuracy of ≤ ±5% of the final value and delivers reliable results even under demanding environmental conditions. The Gas Detector / Gas Detection Instrument has an easy-to-read LCD display with backlighting that clearly shows real-time measurements, system status, date, time and battery level. If the preset alarm limits are exceeded, the device immediately warns the user with visual, audible and vibration alarms. The alarm parameters – including low and high thresholds as well as STEL and TWA limits – can be individually adjusted to meet specific operational requirements and legal specifications.
In addition to classic measurement mode, the Gas Detector / Gas Detection Instrument offers extensive additional functions such as self-test, zero and multi-point calibration, and an internal memory for alarm and measurement events. This also makes it suitable for documenting occupational safety measures and for test reports. The intuitive menu navigation via an ergonomic keypad allows for easy operation even when wearing protective gloves.
The integrated Li-ion battery provides up to 8 hours of operation and can be quickly recharged. The robust housing made of impact-resistant plastic with non-slip rubber coating is dustproof and waterproof in accordance with IP66 and designed for harsh industrial environments. In addition, the Gas Detector / Gas Detection Instrument meets the requirements of explosion protection class Ex ib IIB T3 Gb and is therefore suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Thanks to its compact design and low weight, the Gas Detector / Gas Detection Instrument can be conveniently worn on a belt or work clothing. It is ideal for mobile use during maintenance work, in confined spaces (e.g. containers or shafts), during inspection rounds and in emergency and rescue operations.
Typical areas of application for the Gas Detector / Gas Detection Instrument include industry, mining, sewage treatment plants, energy suppliers, chemical and petrochemical production, waste management, utility companies, fire brigades and technical emergency services. Wherever hazardous or explosive gas atmospheres may occur, the Gas Detector / Gas Detection Instrument offers reliable protection for employees and equipment and contributes significantly to compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
