The Thermal Imager supports the thermal inspection of electrical systems, machinery, heating systems and building services. Its temperature measurement range extends from −20 to 550°C, with a resolution of 0.1°C. The infrared sensor captures thermal images with a native resolution of 96 × 96 pixels. The optional TISR image processing algorithm mathematically increases the displayed thermal image resolution to 240 × 240 pixels.

For orientation on the measurement object, the Thermal Imager features a 2-megapixel digital camera, image fusion and a picture-in-picture function. Six colour palettes allow the display to be adapted to the application. In addition to the temperature at the centre of the image, the highest and lowest temperatures are displayed. The integrated LED supports visible-light image capture in low-light conditions.

The Thermal Imager can be connected via Wi-Fi to an app for iOS and Android. The app allows users to operate the device and record images and videos. Photos in JPEG format and videos in MP4 format can be stored on an external SD card using the device. The supplied PC analysis software enables thermal images to be evaluated on a computer. Adjustable temperature limits and automatic photo capture when a temperature alarm is triggered simplify the documentation of unusual conditions.

With fixed focus and a 50° × 50° field of view, the Thermal Imager can be used without manual focusing. Emissivity can be adjusted from 0.01 to 1.00. An IP54-rated housing, a weight of approximately 310 g and a battery life of at least nine hours enable mobile use. Automatic switch-off can be set to 5, 10, 20 or 30 minutes and can also be disabled.
