The Digital Thermometer is suitable for quickly checking surface temperatures and measuring the core temperature of food, for example during preparation, storage and quality control. The Digital Thermometer enables non-contact surface measurement from −40 … 280°C, while the integrated folding probe can measure temperatures from −40 … 200°C.

This combines the advantages of fast infrared measurement with direct contact measurement inside a measuring object. The device switches on automatically when the probe is unfolded and switches off automatically when the probe is folded back in. The measurement functions include a choice between °C and °F, as well as monitoring of upper and lower limits with adjustable alarm limits. The measurement response time is less than 500 ms, the distance-to-spot ratio is 4:1 and the spectral sensitivity is 8 … 14 µm.


The readings are shown on the illuminated 1.2-inch LCD. The Digital Thermometer also has an IP65 protection rating and is powered by two 1.5V AAA batteries.
