The dust monitor is used in offices, workshops or in laboratories to carry out indicative measurements of the environmental conditions. In addition to the number of particles, the dust monitor determines the mass concentration of PM2.5 and PM10 in the measuring range 0 … 1000 µg/m³. In addition, the temperature and the ambient humidity are measured. With the alarm limit function, limit values for PM2.5 can be set on the dust monitor.

During a measurement it is possible to record the measured values with the dust monitor. A memory with a storage capacity of approx. 12 measurement runs, each with 999 measurement points, is available for the dust monitor. The interval can be set at different times on the dust monitor. After recording, the measurement data recorded by the dust monitor can be transferred to a computer. The dust monitor is connected to any computer via the micro USB interface to transmit the measurement data. Since the dust monitor is recognized as a mass data storage device by the computer, the dust monitor is independent of the operating system. The measurement data saved by the dust monitor are saved in PDF.

In addition to data transfer, the 8 Wh battery can also be charged via the micro USB interface. The battery used in the dust monitor enables an operating time of approx. 9 hours. Thus, the dust monitor can carry out measurements over an entire working day before it has to be recharged. Since the battery is not permanently installed in the dust monitor, it can be easily replaced.
