PCE-WL 1 Wind Speed Alarm / Wind Alarm Controller Sensor with Data Logger
Measures wind speeds from 0.9 ... 40 m/s (approx. 2 ... 89 mph) / Saves data in .csv format
PCE-WL 1 is a wind speed alarm / wind alarm controller sensor with data logger used for the continuous monitoring of wind speed. Wind speed data is recorded and stored in .csv format to the included microSD card memory (max. 2 GB).
The user can select the desired measurement rate (1 min or 10 min) when setting up the device. The device creates a report file once a month which is saved in *.csv format. The *.csv files stored on the microSD memory card can be transmitted to a computer via the RS-232 interface and can be analyzed there by using Excel.
The data logger comes with two digital inputs where you can connect sensors with isolated contacts, Hall effect devices, TTL signals and output SO-signals. The analog input can be used to record the wind direction, and the NTC input is for an external temperature sensor (not included). The data logging unit is configured via an RS-232 port. The RS-232 port also allows real-time data transmission, if desired.
The cup wind sensor does not need to be aligned with the wind direction to measure the horizontal wind speed. All components, including the provided L-shaped mounting bracket, are built to ensure safe and near-maintenance-free operation. The wind sensor also comes with a built-in heater (needs an external power source) to warm up the device for optimal performance in cold temperatures.
