The infrared imaging camera has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. With a measuring range of -20 ... 300 °C, the thermometer already covers a large temperature range. In order to carry out measurements on different surfaces, the emission value of the thermometer can be set between 0.01 ... 1.00 ε. During the measurement, the coldest and the hottest temperature of the surface at which the thermometer is pointed are displayed in addition to the spot temperature.
For a better analysis of the temperature, the thermal image displayed on the infrared imaging camera can be displayed in five different color palettes: rainbow, iron, cold colors, white-black (+inverted). With the additional real image camera on the thermometer, a picture-in-picture function is possible. The real image is superimposed on the thermal image in 5 stages on the thermometer. Pictures can be taken with the thermometer during the measurement. The captured images are stored on the 3 GB internal memory of the thermometer. This means that approx. 20,000 pictures can be taken with the thermometer.
The battery can be recharged by the infrared imaging camera via the USB-C interface. In addition, the recorded images can be transferred from the thermometer to any PC. When connected to a PC, the thermometer is recognized as a mass data storage medium. Thus, the recorded thermal images can be transmitted independently of the operating system. The file format of the thermal images is JPG.
Because of the large field of view of 35° x 26°, the infrared imaging camera is used, for example, to examine the heat development in motors or electronic components. In addition, the camera can be used to assess insulation on buildings, for example.
