PCE-CT 27FN is a Car Measuring Device that takes non-destructive measurements of nonmagnetic coating, insulating layer and dry film thickness (DFT) on metal substrates such as steel and aluminum. Ideal for surface testing, automotive paint inspection, material testing and manufacturing quality control applications.

Measurement function:

The PCE-AT 5 car measuring device - handheld ignition-tachometer is a portable device used to measure revolutions per minute (rpm) in one-cylinder two-stroke and eight-cylinder four-stroke combustion engines with electric ignition starters. The PCE-AT 5 handheld automotive ignition-tachometer features an easy-to-read, backlit digital LCD display and flashlight functionality for low-light applications.

This car measuring device was developed for the indirect measurement of AC/DC currents as well as the frequency. A non-contact voltage tester function and a torch/flashlight for illuminating the measuring point have also been integrated into this car measuring device.

The car measuring device has a measuring range of 0 … 1000 A AC/DC. The current is measured inductively using the clamp on the measuring device. Live supply lines with a diameter of up to 32 mm (1.2") can be connected to the car measuring device.

The car measuring device can measure voltages up to 600 V, currents up to 600 A and electrical resistance up to 1000 Ω. To perform a measurement, you can either use the measuring leads, which are included in the package of the car measuring device, or you can use the integrated clamp mechanism. By using the clamp of the car measuring device, you are able to measure the electrical parameters of an electrical conductor contact-free and without disconnecting it.
