The robust metal housing of the force gage allows it to be used in harsh industrial conditions. The crane scale is operated by three 1.5 V AA batteries. Only the largest weighed load is displayed and held via the "MAX" function of the crane scale. With the "tare" function, the displayed measured value on the crane scale can be zeroed. This function comes into action when, for example, measuring equipment is attached. The "Hold" function of the crane scale enables a displayed measured value to be held.
