The Data Logger / Data Logging Instrument is used for precise recording and monitoring of energy consumption in electrical systems, particularly in households, commercial premises, and small industrial applications. It is suitable for analysing circuits and optimising energy consumption in real time.
The Data Logger / Data Logging Instrument operates with two 80 A split-core current transformers, each covering a current measuring range of up to 20 A per channel. Current measurement is contactless via the current transformers, with the conductors to be measured passed through the openings in the transformers. Voltage measurement is carried out via the device's supply voltage. From the recorded current and voltage values, the device calculates the current power as well as energy consumption and displays these values clearly. Installation is quick and easy in the control cabinet on a DIN rail.
The measured data is transmitted by the Data Logger / Data Logging Instrument via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) to an app (Tuya / Smart Life) and displayed there in real time. In addition, the data is stored in the app or the associated Tuya system and can be analyzed and exported there as historical consumption values by hour, day, month or year. The device itself does not store any long-term trend data internally, but transmits the measured values to the app or cloud for storage and evaluation. The measured values are updated at regular intervals of approx. 15 seconds.
Thanks to smart home integration, the device can be integrated into existing Tuya systems and monitored remotely.
